The project inputs were very clear: to create the first device in the world for the domestic cultivation of fresh spirulina. A stimulating challenge to combine a clean and minamilista design and engineering of technical and technological solutions never covered up to the realization of prototypes functional.
Once we identified the aesthetic lines, we focused on the development of the algae cultivation system in collaboration with the research center of the University of Bologna & Firenze.
Having defined the components to be used and its optimal arrangement within the device as a function of the growth process of spirulina, we then concentrated on the mechanical engineering of the product.
