The requirement
The customer, owner of a chain of ice cream parlours, wanted to have a workstation with a dispenser for adding toppings to hot desserts and ice-cream. The dosing devices needed to release a predetermined amount of product and be equipped with temperature-adjustable containers holding different substances.
Due Pi Greco’s solution
Since it was impossible to find the individual elements of a system with such specific characteristics on the market, we had to start the project from scratch, handling the design, functionality and engineering (especially the hydraulic, mechanical and heat aspects), as well as the modelling, selection and processing of all the materials, including metal parts.
For the dispensers, an automatic pump has been created with a doser set on defined quantities that can be selected by the operator (5.10.25 ml). For the tanks a serpentine thermal system has been realized with the possibility of adjusting the ° C (both positive and negative) according to the product contained. Finally, a touch control panel allows the operator to easily manage all commands in real time.

So far 2 working prototypes have been realized, with the expectation of producing 85 in 5 years. Implemented, the system has indeed proved extremely efficient, so much so that the customer has also chosen to market it externally, with a Royalty recognized to Due Pi Greco on products sold to third parties.
